On the subject of pad wear, OTK pads wear unevenly because the pad is square and it is a single piston.

More 'footage' of disc passes over the pad at the outside compared with the inside so they can with quite a taper depending on the compound.

Your Kelgate had a bit more engineering thought put into it.

Don't over tighten bleed nipples as they can strip, shear or damage the sealing seat, you're only containing brake fluid, not nuclear waste.
