A decent second hand Rotax Max would set you back Ł1,500, a decent TKM about Ł1,000.

A Rotax does not have gears, but does have a clutch and onboard starter. A TKM does not have gears, generally doesn't have a clutch (push start) but can have a clutch and external starter.
