It isn't necessarily the H&S law that is the problem, it is the profiteering that comes from it. If I were to be injured at work and the company were found to have acted negligantly, I wouldn't expect anymore than to be recompensed for the money I could have earned. As it stands, personal injury claims start at Ł1000's and work their way upwards.

We place far too much emphasis on procedure and regulation and not enough on people. H&S law has gone beyond the practical and turned into a box ticking excercise, doing nothing more to protect those it intends to. You can't legislate against stupidity afterall.
