Having always understood that our Team OTK karts used Unico pods I bothered to check our stock. It appears that all of our OTK chassis from 07 onwards have OTK bodywork and sidepods that are stamped CIK/11 thus fully legal. I did however, find 2 chassis that did not comply one was an 06 Tony Racer Ev that had CIK/08 and one an 07 Redspeed that had one pod replaced with an identical Unico pod marked CIK/08. BOTH THE 08 STAMPED BARS AND PODS APPEAR EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE NOW LEGAL CIK/11 PODS!
Many drivers may well be worrying that their bodywork is out of date without cause when OTK must have done the re homologation on the Unico pods & bars they supply but Unico themselves have not.
