I appreciate that the MSA may have verbally agreed that the 08 bodywork is OK but and the really big but is until we get a written confirmation to that effect the verbal agreement is useless on the basis of the MSA's favorite quote ' If it doesn't say you can then you can't'.
Graham if you have the location of the written amendment to the General Regulations please let us know where it is so at least when some poor guy gets scruit failed for bodywork non compliance we can produce the evidence.
The whole rule structure is based on the General Regulations of the Blue & Gold books so if we take this as a verbal OK we could be opening a can of worms from a legal point of view should a serious injury result to anyone using the CIK 08 stuff however unlikely that may be.
The idea of my post was to remind drivers to check the stamping as I was under the impression that the OTK bodywork was Unico until I took the time to look and was relieved to find CIK/11.
