Don't know if this will help or not but on a Prokart you get a better and more consistent reading by picking up the ignition pulse from the ignition switch itself ( bare back about 1 cm of insulation from Alfano pick-up lead and insert wire into the bullet connector male end then push back into female part ) rather than the HT lead which can be a little iffy ... Maybe that will work on your w60 .
