I have recently had this problem.

I wear a Tillet P1, and it still occurred.

It was much improved by fitting one of those Tillet Rib protectors, the extension to the seat corner. (Thanks to Lenny Messenger at Larkhall for this).

Either fit these, or get a seat with larger 'ears' at the top or even modify your seat yourself.
