Your setup is well out if you 'rarely lift an inside rear' It is vital that you get some degree of lift especially in tight corners to 'release' the rears and prevent bogging due to the binding action created by having a solid axle with no form of diff. Try adding castor to increace the jacking effect at the front to get the inside rear up and see if the kart responds much better.
