There's only a problem if you don't have the courage of your convictions!

In my experience even with the fee most appeals are knee jerk reaction and should fail, however I have seen quite a few wrongs righted by proper appeals and the fee returned!

Without a fee these knee jerk reaction appeals would increase several fold and the meetings would never end!

At least there is an appeal, unlike the grass route sport of football where no appeal exists within the 90 mins of playing time!

The fact you suggest a protest is something to do with an official getting it wrong may be an indication as to why the fee at such low levels must stay!
