I had similar problems when I started, had to rest for 6 weeks a few times. Tried Tillett P1, Tillet extensions for the seat, Sparco ribtec,(F/glass is stiffer than Kevlar) and even special foam (Dynafoam). They all helped a little bit, but never completely cured the problem.

One thing I did find though was that the Kerbs at Dunks are real nasty, they bloody hurt.

I had 2 karts during this time, a Tony Krypton and a Kosmic, both karts had to have the seat stays moved as far apart as possible (Fat B'strd) and the seat was still under compression when installed.

I changed to a Wright kart where the seat is now under no sideways loading from the seat stays. I am still using the same T11VG seat but no longer have pain. I still use foam on the bolts and can use the ribtec. Dont have the seat extensions any more.

So my thoughts are:

Make sure that the seat is not under compression.

Make sure that the seat bolts and seat stay bolts are well padded

You need to be snug in the seat, no lateral movement. Make sure that your ribs are not already under compression when you are seated in the seat, if they are then g force will just increase the loading on them, doesn't matter how good your ribtec is.

Make sure that you take the full 6 weeks out, dont be tempted to try it sooner. If you think your ribs are fine, press your fist into the area hard, if its painful, your not ready to go back yet. Ice packs, Brufen, core exercises all help.

Good luck.
