Guys,

This is not uncommon whatsoever, as a timekeeper I have had many people query that the Alfano/Mychron times differ from the timing system.

The point of the AMB loops location vs the Mag strip is very valid, if they are no where near each other on the circuit then the lap times can differ significantly also if the first strip you hit is not on the start/finish line then again times will differ.

The other thing is that the AMB equipment has to be regularly certified by the MSA to 3/000ths of a second - the Mycron/Alfano does not need any regular certification to my knowledge.
