With regard to Vega tyre wear it is not always essential to have new, in fact I can name one well known circuit where new vegas will always be up to 4 tenths slower than ones that are just about finished! This is not a setup thing it is just fact that all of the Rotax front runners will use old rubber and I have won both heats and finals this season using SL6s with virtually no dots left on the inner edges! It is a pain running down brand new to get them to work!
