Anyone who pays money out of their legitimate advertising budget to an unknown kart racer because they might get 3 seconds on some obscure TV channel, deserves to go out of business. Sponsorship at this level of Motorsport has nothing to do with advertising and the idea that being on TV is going to help the average racer get more sonsorship is just pie in the sky. If the're lucky they might recoup the extra cost incurred in entries. Most will not, the fact is it's the average driver who is actually going to become the sponsor. They are sponsoring the cost of TV coverage for the big teams who may be able to benefit from it.
