A couple of points to offer.

Make sure the connections are good and have no water/damp in the plugs and sockets.
We had a lot of trouble caused by water in the floor sensor connection.

The Alfano floor sensor should point forward. (that is to say, the cable connection facing the rear of the kart).

Have you set the Alfano to the correct number of magnetic strips on the track, and if so, are the track strips in good order and triggering the sensor over their full length?
Some tracks have dodgy strips that don't work properly in certain places.

You can test your sensor by passing a magnet under the floorpan beneath the sensor.
