Exactly my point. If the "right conditions" happened at say the first few rounds of a championship and you were running an old chassis (and couldn't afford a new one but could afford a bumper) what would be the point in carrying on ???

This could make old chassis (and that includes one year old outfits !!) obsolete overnight.
