I have a 2009 Alonso and i get binned every heat without fail!!! I've been into the tyres backwards sidewards, frontwards, the lot. Every time we get it on the flatbed never more than a couple of mm if anything out. I'm not sure where the myth of soft came from but in my experience its absolute rubbish. To compare i went into the tyres on my 2009 Birel and when we put it back on the track only 3 wheels were touching the deck!!! If you havent tried an OTK then get a test asap, it gave me at least 3-5 10'ths from the get go. Only got the other 3 seconds to find now :-( . The guys at S8 racing are the people to speak to if you want an Alonso, pm me and i'll send you their details. Cheers Paul
