Thanks Dynamax-took off the clutch drum last night and the bearing was dry although seemed to be running really smoothly, will grease that up before putting back together.

Not sure what you meant by the play in the drum but will take a look when I put it back together,do you mean play in and out or side to side? Have ordered a brand new DID chain as well, although I always use that make so not sure it was a dud chain-probably the bearing.

Thanks for all advice so far.
