Mainly, the chassis becomes imprecise, slower over a race distance and harder to setup. You can usually still get a decent laptime out of them, but not consistently.

A good test of a chassis is anywhere that requires fast direction changes. The bus stops at Kimbolton, the last sector at Rye, the last sector at GYG. Some karts when worn will just bog as you change direction, others will wash out (it'll turn in for the first part but understeer on the second).
