Why this stupid desire to bring back the points? Just look back through the threads over the last few years and "the marshals never see anything" crops up time and time again.
If the officials do not see the incident clearly then the possibility of points will have no advantage as no points will be awarded.
Has fitting a camera to every kart made S1 perfect? I doubt it. When we did the CIK qualifier at PFi the officials fitted the cameras into the holders, switched them on, turned them off and took them away. A few incidents did result in time/place penalties but far more were missed.
The footage from S1 where they showed a film of an incident to other drivers etc was interesting as it showed how different people interpreted the same footage.
Maybe with far more officials and cameras it may be possible to spot every incident but how many of us would be willing to bear the cost?
