any failure is going to be due to a range of parameters: material, machining, geometry, operation conditions, hours run, etc.

once the micro cracks begin to grow failure is bound to occur evenutally.

avoiding hitting kerbs and other karts will extend life.

setting a min thickness is a good idea as it stops fagility to some degree

you will always be able to buy a cheaper axle but this will probably be of inferior material

does the msa care about me?

well they tell me motorsport is dangerouos, so i guess they care
