The big difference between the new clutch and the old clutch is the reliability. Its a big chunk of cash but its almost trouble free.

As to your problem, I am assuming you are still in junior max, therefore you dont have a power valve to cause problems. When was the engine last rebuilt?

Did this problem come on suddenly like after an accident or did it start to come on slowly.

First of all, make sure that the axle/brake disc etc isn't binding and with the chain off the axle spins freely.

Other than that, reed block and compression on the engine and possibly the exhaust baffle.
