As a parent you are required to apply for a licence to effectively act as entrant for your son/daughter.
The idea was to have some means of applying control of the parent. As a licence holder when you sign on you enter a contract with the MSA to abide by the rules and code of conduct while attending an event.
Having witnessed some disgraceful behavior over the years, not by the driver but the 'responsible adult'
It does not require the parent to attend each event as they can nominate a guardian to act for them provided the licence holder provides a signed letter and sends the licence with the nominated guardian.
