The GX35 is ideal for bambino as it is one of the registered engines though it may be a little slow on a bigger track.

If you want to see how your child would do before committing to a purchase, why not look at arrive and drive? Whilton Mill, Daytona and Buckmore park all have excellent facilities for this age group. This is a great way to get started, more so than it would be for any other class.
