Of course it could just be that he's getting understeer because he's not turning the wheel enough initially, then compensating by yanking the wheel round hard and the back steps out - in which case it's not set up at all but something that will cure itself as he gets stronger.

You see how complicated it is? Welcome to karting!

You say "new" bambino, I'd just get him out driving round and enjoying himself before worrying about 5 mil here and there.
