As a newcomer to JTKM (having moved up from Comer) I have to say it seems straightforward so far. Engines very easy to work with (and I've raced Rotax in the past), and a simple chassis. We've not done too much running yet but from what I've been told we'll only need 2 or 3 sets of slicks for the year at Rowrah. Wets seem to last well also.
My biggest recommendation would be the welcoming and helpful nature of the TKM guys we've spoken to. No shortage of helpful and accurate advice.
We're running a clutch at the moment but several of the dads at Rowrah use a push bar that lifts the rear wheels and has a quick release lever to drop it when up to speed. Looks easy and saves the back!
