Alan is spot on, it's a lazy solution to a problem that needs properly dealing with. If the MSA had the balls to back their clerks and come down hard on deliberate contact driving, then these gimmicks wouldn't be necessary. And if they are bound by CIK regulation, then maybe we need to give ourselves a bit of space from them.

10 place penalty first offence of the weekend
Disqualification from race second offence of the weekend
Sent home for a third offence.

Wouldn't take long for word to get round
