Re: You shouldn't really be allowed to race if you've never driven that kart and engine before.

Thats what a lot of people said, and its the only advice I've been given that I disagree with.

I've raced in other classes before and I had no problem on race day, I raced off the back and made sure I never got in anyone's way.

I was quick enough straight out of the box not to get lapped, and thats the important thing - I was never blue flagged until my engine started to not work.

Only spun once on cold tyres in the second heat, a lot less that some of the other "experts" did.

And in the end its the fun meeting!!!
