Fair enough, I just didn't want youy to get an exclusion over something innocently installed.

As far as I know, there isn't any details on the coil.

You could however build a little voltage amplifier, utilising the 12v, to run off the pickup.

Vic, who reads this forum MIGHT just have a simple little circuit diagram kicking about in his office that you could use.

I'm sure he will pop a message in here if he is able to help.

Failing that, why not Google it, there are plenty of sites that enthusiasts post little diagrams on and Maplins would stock the bits.
