advice so far is great, I decided to b uy a tony kart on the basis that the shops at the circuits I was preparing to race at all sold Tony bits, & you will need bits at a race meet, however many spares you take.

I bought from a shop at one of the circuits, but as others have said, although you get good come back & provenance it will obviously be more. If you ask in the shops, they'll know what is coming up for trade in etc & give you a price.

I paid a total of about Ł3500 for a Tony evxx in great condition with a brand new Rotax minimax, ready to race and with a few extra bits.
