a crazy way to calculate points!

we have a mixed grid at our track i agree with seperating the grid into individual class irespective of the finished place in the final unless it was agreed prior to have a cadet libre.

we get points for heats and for the final so if you have visitors you cound gain an advantage over other club members by having them not included in the championship points.

you see to me, i think you should be awarded points for effort!
say you do have a visiting championship and get lots of visiting drivers all the same class(say comer)and have a good race and say top ten finish, but you closest championship rival has a bad day and finishes way back, but is given overall 2nd place due to other drivers being non members i think thats wrong and the other driver is being penalised due to this.

surely it should be points awarded for finished place (in class) reguardless wether non members finish infront or not. if you cant beat them and another can than thats your own fault, you shouldnt be rewarded for it!
