John, sorry I should have been clearer.

I meant the karts are comparable as in they are 125cc TAG .... I realise that the Rotax is perhaps a second a lap faster?, although this is largely down to the stickier rubber run in Rotax. The easykart motor is very strong especially considering the spec gearing. Laptime of course is only half the story ...

Regarding the travelling - of course that is the flip side to a national series running at 7 circuits around the country, but of course you get to enjoy 7 different circuits instead of the same one over!
It is 7 weekend however not 8 in the summer championship as Rowrah is a double header (full race days saturday and sunday, optional testing on friday). There are also usually at least two winter rounds + the European finals if you wish and World finals if you qualify

Anyway - this isn't meant to be a Easykart vs Rotax thread ... it just seems odd that when people ask the forum what series they should race in, nobody ever seems to list easykart along side the other options. It won't suit everyone, particularly if you don't like to travel - but for many others it may be exactly what they are looking for.
