You could probably make it quiet enough, but you would end up spending as much (or near as much)as you could buy a BT82 for.

On the MP hear Speedyman is sell off one of his old motor for £225 if my memory is correct. He is an honest chap and I have no reason to doubt that it has done the little running it has - be worth a phone call to discuss with him. He also rebuilds his own engine so could probably give you a good few pointers
