We've run an engine for well over 50 hours but I use 110ml of oil as I still don't trust the big ends.
Your lower revs will help a lot.
If you have a wet race then run the engine with the air box off and let it oil itself up a bit on the stand.
Never rev the nuts of it on the stand, without a load.
And, as already been said GRM, Gary Munroe, gives the personel touch.
It is worth keeping you rebuilds within the Rotax warranty because when they do let go, you're covered.
A rod can total the barrel, head. crankcase, reed block, even the starter motor when it's in the mood for punching its way out.
Then it's a new engine, which is upsetting if you had a good'un.
