We use a different approach and never change the jetting. In Minimax we used 148 always. With experience the driver can learn to back off the throttle as required. We managed to race at the front in S1 with this approach and it never caused us issues, on any track or conditions. We do the same in Junior max, but with a richer jet. My belief is that a driver can learn to drive to a particular jet as long as your jet is one rich side. We used to use jetting software to determine the correct jet, but this was no more effective. We even did a test where we went from 132 to 170 in minimax and the driver could accomodate and the lap times were nearly identical.
