Ive never driven at wildtracks so cant help you with the gearing. Maybe someone on here will come along shortly and guide you. If you get the gearing near it will help set up everything else. The following weekend is a redlodge meeting. I know you probably dont want to get into a race just yet but it will bring you on way faster than practising on your own. By all means get used the kart at wildtracks first. When i started karting i bought my kart of ebay without ever sitting in one (mates suggested it was good fun. I then went to Llyd raceway down south to do my arks test for my MSA licence then entered my first MSA race. If you plan on non msa racing like i do now then both redlodge and ellough are running non msa seeries next year. A lot less hassle than MSA will be for you, and both clubs are very welcoming to new and old karters.
