hi sparkie, we did strip it out the first time it did it because we also thought there was water in it . but it was completely dry inside, we also smeared the sensor connections with electrical grease but this had no effect on it and it still didn't work properly. But the following day it started working correctly, we did update the software on it. but ever since we haven't used it on the wet without a bag covering it so i don't know wheather it was a software issue or not. Don't really wan't to chance it and it is way out of warranty.
