If you read the post re the Rye House length of 694m you will see that it is NOT racing line!
Quote;
"Rye House. Don't know the track so measuring inner & outer white lines (excluding kerbs of course)for both infield configurations =
717 / 671 & 773 / 729 giving nominal mean lengths of 694 & 751 respectively."

These figures were given as information only as part of debate regarding whether track length is important, I have no wish to challenge the club, circuit owners etc regarding the MSA agreed length as I have clearly stated that I do not know if this is the MSA method of measurement. I would doubt use of digital imagery would be acceptable no matter how accurate that may be. (Even though millions of pounds of taxpayers money is paid to farmers & landowners based on Ordnance Survey digital mapping) Stout shoes and a measuring wheel I think is more likely. Also I do not know if the track representation on Google Earth is accurate or whether changes have been implemented.
One MIGHT argue that the club may like to use this information to have the length checked properly as there may be implications relating to insurance - to work on the principal that "it's always been 900m" could be regarded as a little naive
