Chris, many thanks for your kind rebuild offer which I would have taken you up on if it wasn't for the fact that I only race at Dunkeswell in Devon.

I have recently renewed those parts you mention for exactly that reason, the float arms were all over the shop and looked pretty rubbish so I renewed the whole assembly.

I stripped it again last night and put it in the ultrasonic cleaner and used air on it after and I've used a 3mm drill bit to check the gap (as per John Savage's carb guide) and its dead on 3mm. I also shortened the overflow pipe to a length which is just long enough to do the job.

Race weekend this weekend so lets see how it goes. Thanks for the advice, it's greatly appreciated.
