On fast circuits like pfi, forest edge and shennington I used to find I would consistently be 1-2 tenths faster with my head down on the straights.

bear in mind i'm 6,2, driving a max and have a broad upper body.. so I'm a bit of a windbreak.

downside was that I was more likely to miss my braking or apex due to not looking where I was going..
