At 16 years old I could run a mile close to four minutes, bench press 150% of my bodyweight (68kg at the time) and do lap after lap after lap at test days. I remember once a Rye doing close to 500 laps in a day in an ICC, consistent times all day (within a second barring backmarkers)
Couple of weeks ago borrowed a mates ICC outfit went to Rye. I'm now 22, can run a mile barely under 5 mins, weigh considerably more at 85 kg but can't lift any extra, hadn't driven a kart since May 09. 450 laps, within a second of my fastest for over 80% of those. Granted, couldn't take my shirt off after, but fitness isn't as all important as people think.
