I own a measurement laboratory that specialises in accurate measurement for the aerospace industry. We have measured these jets for a few people now and we were shocked at the results. One Jet marked 1.48 mm actually measured 1.6152 mm and this was the mean calculated smallest diameter. We also found that bore was not parallel, the entrance / exit of the bore was bell mouthed, the bore was not perpendicular to the top and bottom face of the jet and in some cases the bore looked more like a fifty pence piece rather than a nice round cylinder I would personally make sure all the jets that you use are measured / tested by any means you have available before using them.
