That's kind of the point I was trying to make :)!

Minor alterations to the pop off pressures probably makes no noticeable difference. I suppose that you could use the weather forecast to put in the expected values (adjusted for altitude etc) to see if any major alterations to the pop offs are suggested by the software and then use a different tension spring to set the carb before going to the track.

Without being able to run the engine on the stand and fiddle with the settings at the track and the driver not being allowed to adjust the needles whilst driving (under MSA regulations) it is encouraging that you have some means of setting the carb with some accuracy to start with and then make minor adjustments as needed.

As with most software like this, I would guess that the more you use it and the more accurate the data that you input, the more accurate it will become.
