It is interesting you say that Venom, what do you think it could be?
My opinion:
The karts we run are identical to the karts we ran in 2010 when the new tyres were introduced. Same chassis design, same components, same rims, same seats, same axles and same setups apart from the gearing is different, however I doubt this is the cause of the tyre wear issues. Back then hardly anybody put new tyres on to practice with at S1 rounds because there was no advantage in time. Maybe they came on a little quicker being newer but little to no effect on lap time. Now we are having to settle with the fact that practice pace is poor if we don't put new tyres on.
