The higher the ride height, the greater the tendency to 'lean' on the corners. If that's the effect you want, use it. However, your kart is often at it's MOST grippy in hot weather. If you raise it then, the chances are that you'll increase the tendency to lift the inner wheels on corners which creates what's often called 'hopping'!
Many people raise the front AND rear ride height in wet conditions. The idea is that you want the kart to transfer as much grip as possible to the outside wheels (by 'leaning' on those even more) in those conditions
However, like everything else in karting: ask 5 karters their opinions and you'll get 6 different responses! God knows who is right!
