I haven't seen one of these in action so don't know how visible it is when it's pushed back but what's to stop the drivers whose fairing is pushed back (and hence has now got a 10 place penalty) barging his way through to gain back some of the lost places? Will the marshals/observers note which lap the fairing was dislodged? Does the clerk know when the fairings have become dislodged - is it very noticeable ?
