The problem is, not all track surfaces are the same and Llandow is more abrasive than any other track I've raced at. I've got Maxxis tyres that have done one month at Llandow and certainly won't be competitive when they are next raced on but I *won't* buy new tyres every round. I'm fully behind any proposal to force tyres to be used for longer but the real problem is that the newer, softer tyres aren't really fit for purpose (the purpose being to last e.g. 3 rounds at *all* tracks) if tyre longevity is your thing.
