Ok, so I was wrong about Lee, but I did say I wasn't sure about him. But if the majority of finalist on a grid is on tag, the majority of front finishers will also be, so I'm not sure what the numbers your quoting prove.
I haven't got the results in front of me now but I'm pretty sure there were dd's within about 1/10sec of the winners fastest lap. It tags have the 3/10's some are claiming, that'd be highly unlikely.

Maybe there's other factors at play, maybe some drivers do get 3/10's more out of a tag but maybe that's because their driving style doesn't work as well on a dd. Just like some cadet drivers are better on Honda, some on Iame and some can win on both.

I'm sure someone with more time than me, could compare fastest laps between each engine, at all this seasons super 1 races and see if drivers have improved relative to fastest lap, as they've switched from dd to tag during the season. Or historic lap records, have Jtkm time been falling this season?

It's just not as easy as saying "the top x finishers are on tag, it must be because they're on tag"
