Can I just clarify engine temp and water temp are two completely different things and yes the low jet controls the engine temp.
I say this because I often relate to temperature as 'engine temp' as general phrase to describe the temp I/you/we see on the mychron..... This is the water temp!
So when your motor goes bang halfway down the straight and you start complaining that we were only at 45 degrees.... Your EGT would be about 900 for example.

You'll be fine giving your motor 'the beans' on the stand for a short period but warm it up first.
The mixture of 250ml to 5l is too rich at Hooton 200 to 5 max that's why you've got unburnt oil in your exhaust.
