Out of interest have you checked the setting of your mychron/alfano for its maximum revs - it should be on 18,000 setting because i have seen before where people moved up from cadets for example they didn't change it and then couldn't understand why they weren't getting the right revs but kart was quick enough

If you've added that many teeth you should see a change in revs and the kart would be screaming it's nuts off!
