The solution is simple.
Timed Qualifying on Saturday.
Sunday consists of 3 lap practice.
Prefinal(A and if needed A & B) say 10 minutes.
Final 15 minutes.
Thereby reducing the number of heats and on and off the grid.
This is only for the winter and therefore limited light and bad weather periods.
